Danke für den Hinweis. Um die Punkte muss ich mich noch kümmern. Falls jmd. übrigens ähnliche Probleme hat bzw. Lösungsmöglichkeiten...trotz anti spam Modul hört die Flut an russischen (in kyrillisch) spam Nachrichten noch nicht auf. Und das PrestaShop Forum hat ja ein ähnliches Problem, da muss man nur auf die Forum Seite gehen, um zig spam Nachrichten in Chinesisch, Koreanisch usw. zu sehen. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass das jmd. händisch eingibt und so die anti spam Module umgeht...

Das Problem war - um ehrlich zu sein - recht simpel. Den Shop immer komplett auf https:// umstellen, und nicht nur Anmeldung und Bestellvorgang (wollte das nur im ersten Schritt machen und, wenn das klappt, dann den gesamten Shop). Auf jeden Fall hat das aktivierte Strato SSL Zertifikat und die Teilaktivierung in PrestaShop dazu geführt, dass die Homepage nicht angezeigt wurde. Den Shop dann im PrestaShop back office komplett auf https:// umgestellt, und jetzt wird die gesamte Seite ohne Probleme angezeigt und von etwa Chrome als 'secure' gekennzeichnet.

Vielen Dank für das Feedback und Entschuldigung für fehlende Angaben zu Hosting und Software. PrestaShop 1.7.2.1 und Hosting via Strato. Läuft beides problemlos. Als Browser benutze ich Chrome und Safari. Im Anhang ein paar screen shots: ich habe das SSL Zertifikat zugewiesen und in einem ersten Schritt SSL nur für Kundenanmeldung und Bestellvorgang aktiviert. Im Prinzip würde ich aber gerne den gesamten Shop auf https:// umstellen wollen. Sobald das SSL Zertifikat aktiviert ist, wird die Website nicht mehr im Browser angezeigt.

Ich versuche meinen Shop auf https:// umzustellen. Ich habe das SSL Zertifikat meines Hosting Providers aktiviert und im PrestaShop System SSL aktiviert. Allerdings kann ich danach nicht mehr auf die Seite zugreifen, sie wird nicht mehr angezeigt. Gibt es noch etwas anderes, dass man umstellen muss, dass man auf den Shop unter https:// zugreifen kann?

Just to wrap up this post: got help from Krystian and could finish the site. Thanks again to the template developer for his kind support and very nice job on the template. Very clean and great design that allowed me to create a nice website on PrestaShop 1.7.2.

Do those dimensions https://www.prestashop.com/blog/en/image-sizes-types-prestashops-default-template/ still apply to PrestaShop 1.7? And if someone happens to know, if I upload an image but then suddenly I'm downloading a file called index.php instead, could that be due to me uploading a file with inadequate dimensions/file size? Thanks anyone for giving advise!

Thanks, that solved it with the slider. I feel a bit embarrassed as I didn't know that. Your help is very much appreciated. Also thanks for sending a PM to Krystian. I will work on finishing the site and for the small fix wait for his feedback. His template is quite nice so I only need to switch images/logo/text and we're ready to go.

This template https://addons.prestashop.com/en/sports-activities-travel-themes/26351-sport-store-by-prestahome-clothes-equipment.html that I installed on my site (fresh installation) www.storyskateboard.de. The site overall works fine, its just the zoom function not working, the list view button doesn't respond and the slider doesn't show on the mobile version (at least not on my iPhone). Its not all a big issue and I can also wait a bit for a solution. Its just frustrating to have sparse feedback (one reply so far). And I just switch the images. I'm not configuring the template or so and the demo version on the add ones site doesn't show any of those issues.

I just see I posted in the wrong group :-( but hope I can get a hint still (or if the forum moderator can move this post) ... I just look to see how to solve a few small issues and start using the site and start selling our products... Thanks!

What am I supposed to do if I encounter a technical issue with the module I bought on the add ons store but don't receive a feedback/solution from the module developer?

Mein Hosting Provider stellt keine CDN Lösung zur Verfügung. Meine Frage ist, wer hat Erfahrungen mit CDN Lösungen (bei 1&1 gibt es z.B. Railgun) und speziell Google Cloud CDN? Läßt sich dies in Verbindung mit PrestaShop gut nutzen? Ich bin hier noch der absolute Laie, mir geht es darum, dass der Online Shop auch stets schnell erreichbar ist/kurze Ladezeiten.

Meine Frage wurde hier super beantwortet mit Pro und Con, und das in konstruktivem Ton... Mein Rat an dich: Überlege dir, was du machen möchtest. Möchtest du dich viel mit dem Serverseitigem kram rumärgern (u.A. auch Linux-Kommandozeilenprogrammierung, Scripting etc.) oder möchtest du deinen Shop konfigurieren und dich auf das Geld verdienen konzentrieren? Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis der 1&1 Shoplösungen ist bisher sehr gut. Es geht auch nicht immer um den Preis - gerade mit deinem Shop wirst du einen guten Support nicht missen möchten - bei 1&1 bisher nie Probleme gehabt, wenn ich Support benötigt habe (telefonisch sowie per Email, die Damen und Herren dort in der Kundenzentrale sind sehr kompetent und haben ein umfangreiches Fachwissen, was deren Produkte angeht. Das Beste: Sie bleiben freundlich am Telefon!!) Wenn du eher etwas in Richtung "Ich möchte alles selbst machen" suchst, verzichte bitte auf einen VPS und besorge dir einen komplett eigenen root Server. Du kaufst schließlich auch kein Auto ohne Motor =)

Tja, ich wollte ja eigentlich nichts sagen...aber wenn man was im Forum schreibt, dann freut man sich über hilfreiche Ratschläge, dass alles Mist ist, hilft mir auch nicht groß weiter. Wenn ich hier im Forum oft lese, dass bei PrestaShop eh alles schlecht wäre, da frage ich mich ganz ehrlich, wieso diese Leute dann nicht eine andere Software benutzen... Auf jeden Fall ist jetzt 1.7.1 raus. Mir auch unverständlich, wie man eine 1.7 Version ohne PayPal Modul veröffentlicht hat, aber die Jungs haben ja dran gearbeitet. Are there any free site templates available? I have an installation using 1.6 and the layout doesn't fit the new products we want to sell. I use the default template where we just slightly adjusted colors, and I'm now looking for a quick way to adjust the look & feel of the site. I'm not sure if I need to put some extra work in if I install a design template (if someone can advise) and before I invest 60 Euro or so on a template I rather would like to poke the box and see how much my site actually still runs and looks fine when installing a new design template... Otherwise I might wait for 1.7.1 and install a template on a fresh installation.
