The way it is done in 1.7 now is you scroll down to the "Specific" prices section. Set the quantity to 1, select the date range and the discount then both the origonal price and the sale price will be displayed.

Hi all, I very much need to be able to add a product source link in back office for each of my products. I DO NOT want customers to be able to see the the product source info. EXAMPLE: I need to be able to go to the product and find a link I have saved along with it. And use said link to go directly to the product re-order page on my suppliers website. Hi all, I am using 1.6.1.4 and it works fairly well. I've had it several weeks now, but just yesterday something changed. I have all my shop email directed to my Gmail account, and always before it would get a message from paypal that included the product description. For example Cree XML2 LEDs x5 $21.85 LED heat sinks x5 $11.03 And so on. Now in the description field all it ever says is "your order" . I manage all my business from email since I have multiple fronts to operate on so this will not do. Here is a clip of what it looks like. Here is what it should be. I really have no idea what I possibly could have done to make this happen, but I guess it could have been something I did. Does anyone know how to fix this??? Thanks

Hi bay_kolio, I have 1.6.1.4 also. The only way I can get items to stay in the correct place is like this. Catalog>Products>Filter by category>Expand all> Select ONE category. Once you are inside ONE single category you can move items around by grabbing the number arrow and moving it up or down. Items will revert back to their old position if you do not select only one category before doing this. If you do not see the movable arrows when you enter the category click the down arrow next to "position" and they will appear. Hope this helps.

I found kind of a cheesy way around this bug. Disable all products in the category. Re enable them in the order you want them to be. Not great, but you have the "grid products module" its fairly quick. You just go through and click one button to enable or disable a product and the load time is ok. They changed to the order I wanted in BO an FO and stayed that way.

Hi Trevor, The work around I found for this was to go to use the combinations generator. In some cases I deleted everything from there and started over. Its very quick. The reason I found that some attributes would not change the price is because every time you add an attribute a full new set of combinations must be generated. For example if before you had 5 color choices, when you add the "dress me" attribute a set of combinations for all of the previous options needs to be generated that include that option. Red and dress me, blue and dress me, green and dress me, etc. Its actually fairly quick using the generator.

Hi Valentin, I went through and disabled guest and visitor on all my carriers like you mentioned. I already had cereated my own. When I did this the free shipping reappeard also on mine when not logged in. To fix this I modified the source code held at my hosting site by going to. HTML > themes > default-bootstrap > modules > blcokcart > blockcart.tpl. Then changed line 343 to say " calculated at checkout" Like this. {addJsDefL name=freeShippingTranslation}{l s='Calculated at checkout' mod='blockcart' js=1}{/addJsDefL} That solved the problem for me. I will wait a few days and see if it reverts back.

Hi all, I would like to use my gmail account for the shop. I would like that when customers click the contact button the email goes directly to my gmail account and that this is where mail is responded from. I would like to know if this can be done WITHOUT forwarding the mail from inmotionhosting or without a POP3. Thank you.

Ok I was finally able to fix this. My vestion is 1.6.0.11 Fortunatly for me inmotion fixed the glich in theier code eiditor which is a huge help. I did download Notepad++ and use it to make backup files to save on my hard drive before I change code. I was able to fix this bug by editing one single line of code. After I unchecked the visitor shipping as shown in nemos video and then went to my hosting site to edit the code. One awsome thing is tha inmotion hosting fixed what was wrong with the code editor on thier site and now it also works perfectly. The file I edited was found in the same place others have mentioned. Themes > default-bootstrap > modules > blcokcart > blockcart.tpl However the code numbers are different that in nemos vidoe and also than what was mentioned here by nocturnal https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/328131-how-to-remove-free-shipping-text-from-cart-menu/ Anwyay the only line of code I had to edtig to get a solution that works for me was line #146. It said "Free shipping" before and I changed it to this {l s='Calculated at checkout' mod='blockcart'} Not a perfect solution but much better than "Free shipping!!" HI, Has anyone found a solution to this problem yet? I have tried to change the price for combinations on my site. I have set the peramiters for "impact on price" and still it does absolutly NOTHING!!!!! No matter which option is selected the price remains EXACTLY THE SAME! My version is 1.6.0.11 if it matters. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks

Thank you for your reply nemo. I think I may have found it, but I'm not sure. I went public HTML > themes > default-bootstrap > modules > blcokcart > blockcart.tpl However once inside there the code does not really look like whats in your vid. I did find a set that looks similar at the very very bottom. EDIT: PAGE OF CODE REMOVED. SOLUTION IN POSTS BELOW. Is this where I am suppose to be? Sorry to post that whole page of code, I will remove it once I have my answer. Also I downloaded notepad ++ as you suggested. In order to use this do I just copy and paste the code from the file at inmotionon, edit there and then copy/paste it back to the server file and click save? or is there something more that needs to be done. The only time I have ever modified code was for use with small micro chips in a flashlight driver using AVR studio. Once any code was modified there we had to click "build" for the code to be useful.

HI all, I am a little stuck on this. I am using 1.6.0.11 and my site is hosted at inmotion hosting. I was able to dig up what I think is the correct file for this by going to C panel at inmotion > file manager > Web Root (public_html/www) > modules > blockcart > blockcart.tpl I just dont seem to be getting any effect from making the changes in nemos video. Inmotion has a tool bar a the top where I can click "edit" and it will display the code in texts. I can edit this text as in the vid and then save, but nothing happens. There is also a button that says "code editor" and if I click that it wil open the file too but I cannot propperly edit the file. Is like there is 2 layers of text there. One in light grey and then another over the top of it. Also if I click one line to edit 2 lines will always be slected and edited at the same time. Anyone know what my problem is? Thanks
