BWT Posted March 22, 2011 Share Posted March 22, 2011 Hey guys!I have been trying to install a new theme for version 1.4.17 and for some reason I can't get it to install and am pulling my hair out. when i use the installer it says "Bad Configureation file" My question is...- do you have to use a configureation file at all?- if so, do you have to list all modules, image, and hook setting in that config file in order for it to work(install) or can you just add the basic name, description to the file?- is there 2 config files needed in order for it to work or is one ok?the two i am talking about are one inside the theme folder it self with version and not much code and the other outside the theme folder with settings for modules, hooks, images description?What I have tried...I downloaded a free 1.4 theme from add-ons and it did install but when i tryed to install another theme with the same set up it would not install I tried to change smarty 2-3 settings and the same thing happened.what is causing the "Bad Config" error? How can i use a 1.3x theme with the new version of 1.4? What do i need to add or change or do to make the theme work with the new version?Any help with this would be great or any suggestions thanks!
