Is there a way to cleanse my SQL database

I had problems and was unable to upgrade to 1.4 final with SQL errors. It looks as if it is due to attempted duplication of tables that already existed in my SQL from previous PS versions/modules. Would it make it a seemless to upgrade if i was to drop the duplicate table to get back to the default basic SQL database before i try and upgrade?

Does anyone have a list of 1.3.7 clean install default tables so can compare against my current database?

Perhaps my idea is a stupid one, so i would appreciate any feedback on this matter from an experienced user/developer
