Using database from previous version?

Hi,
can’t find the answer for simple question: is it possible to use database 1.0 in 1.1 version? In step 3 of install (Database configuration) I can’t select existing 1.0 base because: “A Prestashop database already exists, please delete it or change the prefix”. So, it’s possible only to create a new (empty or not) base.

If I try to import database file via phpmyadmin from my backup, result is: “ #1050 - Table 'ps_access' already exists”.

What am I doing wrong ? Is it possible?
