Can't upgrade Presta (permission issue)

Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade Presta from 1.6.0.9 to 1.6.1.20 and i got error that the folder "download" don't have permissons to write. I checked it and it has chmod 755. I tried to change it to 777 without result. I also changed admin and autoupgrade folder to 777 - it didn't helped. Do you have any other ideas?

Files: 0644
Folders: 0755

Thanks for the reply. But it didn't worked

I moved the shop to own server and i relalise that the warning exists on both servers. So i think it's not permission problem.

Hi,

777 permission is not suggested. As specified by Rolige, You tried to change the permission of download folder OR complete root folder?

Change the permission of all the folders to 775 (recursively) & check again.

There is another thing with file rights that sometimes gives problems: "ownership". It can be that ftp'ed files on the server have another owner as those processed by the software. Some software offers a "take ownership" option to repair that.

I suggest that you ask your hosting provider.
