Don Camillo
Hi all, I hope someone can answer this for me... My intention is to make a website with only at the third to lets say sixt page products with paymentoptions, meaning I want to start with a few pages of info and a video. Most prestashops I see have immediately a LOT of products displayed, for fast looking and buying, thats good for most shops but I would like to have a slightly informative website also. I have Prestashop local on a wampserver and I played with some free templates, is what I want possible with Templates, or do you have to build a custom one from start. That would make it more difficult I guess, because I have no Php, MysQl, Html, or whatever experience for now... so I am a newbee. So as a setup I look for something like this http://www.mannientweewielers.nl/home (you see the first few pages contain info), but with a more fancy look like for instance http://www.homethik.com/ Or is it better to build a "shop" like I want with another program. Many thanks in advance!Don C. shokinro
I don't think you have to create a custom theme from start, there are many PrestaShop templates on the market. I think you should be able to find one you like. You can find a link at my signature that with some professional designed PrestaShop templates. Also PrestaShop is very flexible, most functionality is developed in module, you can un-install them if you want simple and light store. Don Camillo
Thanks Shokinro, I looked at some payed templates that you offer, and indeed I saw some nice ones that I like. If I want to change and rearrange some layout things, or colour of buttons and so on, is that all easy? or is more php/html etc, skill needed? Are there things in those templates that can NOT be changed/ modified? Thanks!Grtz, Don C. shokinro
The themes follow the standard of PrestaShop theme and you can install it as of any other PrestaShop themes. It also includes original design data like PSD file(depsned what you buy), so that you can change some contents of them if you know how to use PhotoShop and related tools. For the changes, if you know how to change on default theme that comes with PrestaShop, you know design of CSS and HTML, you should be able to make some changes. But you must do it very careful to not break the design.
