Adding a internal memo / product code

Good day,

I have a question.

I want to add my own internal product codes.

For example MP0023ABC.

This code should not be listed on my website. However I do want it to be listed in my back-end environment.
So that I can use this code for quickly localizing the product in stock.

 

Is there an option to do this?

I am new to PS so not sure if this is much help or not.

My purchased theme allows me to hide/show "product reference text" on the product page.
I put the product code in the Reference text box that is shown when you are editing the product.
