got an white front page where back office works fine.

the front page worked till last week.

i renamed original index.html (under public_html) to other name.html and added new index.html just for few days

to show different front page.

and today, i deleted new index.html and changed name.html to index.html(the original) but the front page shows white with no other contents.

what's the problem?

i searched from the forum that i need to delete all and install again to solve this problem, but is there any other

way i can fix this prob without re-installing ???

Why are you putting an index.html file in the root of your server? That will override PrestaShop's index.php, preventing it from working. You should remove the index.html file.

the index.html is the name of folder which contains prestashop files, and this folder is under public_html folder.

should i delete this index.html folder? if i do so, where should i upload prestashop files?

I suggest that you move all the files into public_html.

Yes, unless you have a good reason to put PrestaShop in a separate directory.

i did that, and now both back and front office is not working..

admin log-in page showed, but when i try to log-in, it keeps going back to

log-in page. cant log-in now..

what shall i do???

Check the __PS_BASE_URI__ in config/settings.inc.php. It should be / for PrestaShop to work in the root directory.

Try editing config/config.inc.php and temporarily changing 'display_errors' from 'off' to 'on'. Hopefully, that will give an error message that will help to figure out the problem.
