How could I assign a minimun number of items based per category in order to validate an order?

Hi,

I am starting a website selling liquors. In prestashop, we can assign a minimum purchase in order to validate an order but what i need is to establish a minimun number of products purchased per category.

We have a category called "miniature bottles" where you can purchase different miniatures but in order to validate an order the number of miniatures purchased must be multiple of 8.

Also we have a category called "bottles" where that limit is not applicable so a client can purchase as many bottles as he wants.

An example of a valid order will be:

1 Bottle A
2 Bottle B
1 Miniature bottle Type A
6 Miniature bottle Type B
1 Miniature bottle Type C
Total: 8 Miniatures + 1 Bottle A + 2 Bottle B = 11 ---> OK!



Can this be done?

No, it's very complicated and not something I would expect a shopping cart to be able to do out of the box. I'm not sure how to add a "pick at least 8 products from a category" feature.
