prestarou
the simplest way to add a video is to make an account on youtube, upload it there and then put the link on your presta site, it will be shjown as a video not as a link, i think it looks pretty well
simpson7647
So simply pAsting the URL address on prestashop will show the video on my page? Or is there anything else that needs to put around the URL or anything? Thanks
RobGui
I use Youtube videos on my site.Go to Youtube and find the video you want to display on your site.Press the “embed” button and copy the code. Then in Prestashop, press the “html” button on the editor.Paste the code and job done. MrBaseball34
I use this jQuery plugin and it is awesome:http://pupunzi.com/#mb.components/mb.mediaEmbedder/mediaEmbedder.html
mytheory.
Using the instructions above works great! Simple as copy and paste, then save. However, I ran into a small hitch trying to get this to work. I had to place a check next to the "Use old embed code" option after clicking "Embed" under the video on youtube. Using the iFrame code (iguess newer embed code) did not work... I couldn't get the html window to update.I've only tried this on youtube videos... but something to keep in mind. I'm also using PS v.1.2.5, is this an issue with the newer versions too? Or just something that was happening with older versions like ours?Hopefully this small tweak can help somebody else save some time.
MrBaseball34
If you use the plugin I recommended, you won' t have these problems.
