[Solved]how to move sub directory of shop to root directory?

Hi guys,

i tried our forum on how to move [www.yourdomain.com/prestashop] to [www.yourdomain.com], but ended up with no results....

if you guys tried this before, pl refer me the link of that topic or just post some important steps so, i can follow up that...

I think you only have to do two things
1. Move all files and folder to one upper level
2. Change '__PS_BASE_URI__' to '/' at /config/setting.inc.php as following

define('__PS_BASE_URI__', '/');

Please also check all permission are kept the same.

You can export the products data from www.yourdomain.com/prestashop. Then reinstall prestashop on root and then import data.

thanks guys for ur reply....but i fed up yesterday on doing that without any solution, after several attempts i got frustrated and did a fresh installation on root directory....

but i keep this solution for future attempts....
