bestbuycyprus Posted April 23, 2018 Share Posted April 23, 2018 Hello all need some help as I have no idea how to fix this problem as I can not even disable the cache in BO so I can make any upgrade. I contacting my hosting provider and they chnged the 777 and 666 to 755 and 644 but as soon as I try to turn off cache it goes all back to 777 and 666 I cant even upgrade a module as I get errors like this '' Exception thrown by module on upgrade. Cannot extract module in/public_html/app/cache/prod/sandbox/5ade16192561a/ to get its name.'' I have no idea what to do any help out there I will appreciate it below is my server information Server information Linux #1 SMP Thu Jan 4 16:41:44 MSK 2018 x86_64 Server software version: Apache PHP version: 7.0.29 PrestaShop version: 1.7.3.0 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
PrestaHeroes USA Posted April 25, 2018 Share Posted April 25, 2018 this smells of group owner issue, i.e. you shop is not running as part of group with rw access. this happens mostly when some webmaster manually creates domain space and does not set proper group owner for files. you webhostIng company maybe able to help...also search on your OS setting group ownership.
