[SOLVED] Sizes in Attributes

I can get different sizes to show up in drop down to choose from, but as soon as the item is added to cart it adds all sizes so we do not know which is ordered.
I know it has to be a simple fix, I have tried attributes and groups where I set each size as a group, that did not work, then I tried it as group for sizes and attributes as each size that did not work when I tried the generator in catalog combinations that showed them but again when you go to the page it has a drop down box for sizes and you click on one then it adds all to the cart.

Add group (Size - for example)
Add attribute (S)
Add attribute (M)
Add attribute (L)

In Catalogue - select the product to edit/ add attribute. Select tab 3. Combinations. Add combinations manually (one at a time - click the image to add the combinations to) or use the combination generator to add all combinations (shift+select all sizes S,M,L - add, generate, back to product)

Save. Check FO - add to cart and check - should work fine.

If you searched previously, you wouldn't find it because generally people are not that accurate in using keywords in their post titles.
The amount of posts I have seen (perhaps as many as 50%) fail to mention specifically the problem in the post title.
