prestox
hii'm interested in using this e-commerce software, but i'm curious why it's free ?is there any catch ?thanks a lot
MrBaseball34
The only catch is that you need to know what you are doing if you don't want a simple, plain looking store that looks like the default. An heaven help you if you do any modifications and need to upgrade. sebastiann
Welcome! You can get a lot of help here, and there are a lot of information to find if you use the search function. That's the great thing about open source, the community around it:)
rocky
Yes, you can change the terms and conditions (and the content of other pages) on the Tools > CMS tab.
prestox
thanks for the replies and welcomes.since there's no language pack for my language, i'm wondering can i change some box labels ?like "abcd" instead of "CATEGORIES", "xyz" instead of "MANUFACTURERS" etc.actually i managed to find for instance blockmanufacturer.tpl where i changed the word "MANUFACTURERS" into (say) "abcd", but when i click on its link, above the central box the path "Home > Manufacturers" still appears.there is also the combo list item "All manufacturers" etc.is it possible to customize this software like this, directly through php (tpl) files ?thanks
rocky
Yes, go to Tools > Translations, select "Front Office translations" in the dropdown, then search for all text containing "manufacturer" and rewrite it in the text field with the text you would prefer. Do the same for the "Module translations".
