So how do I get in to the front end and back end to editmy theme, logo, shooping cart etc. I would like to edit in dreamweaver but is there a presta shop front and back end?is there something else I need to download. Did I overlook something?
rocky
Have you logged in to the Back Office? You should rename your admin directory to something else, then enter its URL in your browser and enter the email address and password you entered when installing PrestaShop. johnnyfive
Ive deleted my install folder and renamed my /admin folder (adding numbers at the end)Im stumped at entering the top level domain under the url box in my browser i enteredwww.domain.tld/admin*** (three asterix representing 3 unique numerical Numbers) ...I get a not found? So where is says "domain" does that have to be my unique pre determined urlthat I purchaed threw godaddy. I tried that and it didnt work....If so do I need to drag any folders to that serverwhere my domain is pointed in order to get to my back end?. Ive noticed I have folders that are red on my serverthe same folders I have locally I dont recall loading them on my server? Im new to PHP only HTML experience.so Im kinda tip toeing through A discovery process, trying to master the work flow any feed back I appreciate. Im new to this and want to learn. MikeChoy
You mention successfully installing at local host...I assume you did your installation at your local machine. Did you take note of the location at the address bar when you complete your installation. It should be something like localhost/xxxxx/yourprestashop/admin*** . You should use this to login since you install it at your local machine. It has nothing to do with your registered domain unless you install prestashop at your registered domain server. It should be delete or rename the install folder and not delete the image folderCheck what what is your shop directory location. Was it at htdocs/xxxx/shop ? if so then it should behttp://localhost/xxxx/shop/admin***Otherwise, check your /shop/config/settings.inc.php file. Ensure the define location are correct.
