Product images are blurry and I can't figure out why

I have been going mad trying to get my main product images looking sharp. The original images are sharp. But on the product page, the images are blurry.

I have resized the large image to 370 x 390. In my global.css file I have changed the style as follows:

#primary_block #pb-right-column {
width: 370px;
float: left
}
#primary_block #image-block {
border: #d0d1d5 solid 1px;
height: 392px;
width: 360px
}
#primary_block #image-block img#bigpic {
cursor: pointer;
height: 390px;
width: 360px
}

Can anyone please help me to get the images sharper?

I am having exact same issue. I have tried adding an image from the backend and whatever size I upload the image I get blurry image. See below link:

It is nearly a one year old thread. It would have been better to create a new one.

 

About your image issue, the image is not blurry, it is totally pixelated.

 

You should take a lossless image, because if you already use a low quality image and resize it again, the result is going to be awful.
