Problems logging into Admin with new prestashop 1.3.2

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have just installed the new prestashop 1.3.2. locally as I've done previously with the older version.
I've change the admin folder name, deleted the install file, permissions, followed everything.
I re-installed several times and I am afraid it could be a bug in the program as the previous one has no problem
working locally with wamp.
I recieve the error page HTTP Not Found

Is anyone else experiencing this? or does anyone know how I can resolve it?

I am using Wamp server 2.0., I still can't get it working. I don't understand why the previous version of Prestashop
worked so well. I would really like to get this one working too.

What version of WampServer, php and apache are you using?

Thanks :)

I have the same version you are using.

Try to delete evything from WWW folder and install it once again with new database creation.

dont forget to delte INSTALL folder and rename ADMIN folder. otherwise backoffice will not work.

I hope you will not having any problem this time.

It seems this is not going to work for me for some reason, I've downloaded it again, re-installed it continuously,
created new databases, deleted the install file, renamed admin and it still I get HTTP 404 Not Found The webpage
cannot be found.
The front office is working fine, but back office still isn't.

It looks like I will have to go back to the older version, I can't understand why this won't work.

Thanks for your support and please let me know if there is anything else I could try. :)

I have installed the older prestashop 1.3.1, it worked immediately first go, Back Office and Front Office,
its too bad I couldn't get the new version to work.

If anyone has any ideas of what in the new version can effect the Back Office from opening, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

Not sure what the problem is but try to see if you can find any clues in the error log.

To view the error log in the wamp server go to the "logs" folder in the server directory and open the "php_error." Go all the way to the bottom of the file and see what is the recent error message or the one related to your problem.

Most likely its something minor. I installed the prestashop 1.3.2 with no problem.

Hope it helps

Are you using SKYPE with Wamp server?

If yes, just quit your Skype and start your all of your services once again from Wamp server. And once again check your localhost website for prestashop installation.

because in Wamp, Apache webserver is using the same Port 80 as the Skype. So if Skype is running with Wamp server, it restrict Wamp server to start Apache webserver.

I hope this time it will solve your problem.

Hi,
I've removed skype and tried the new prestashop, and it still didn't work.
I've accessed the log files and this is what I got:-

In the access log file: "GET /prestashop 1.3.2.3/admin777/n/ HTTP/
In the apache_error log file: File does not exist: C:/wamp/www/prestashop 1.3.2.3/admin777/n

Thanks

Try to remove space in the path, such as install it in C:/wamp/www/pres1323/admin777
