inspire8
Hi, I have just installed the new prestashop 1.3.2. locally as I've done previously with the older version.I've change the admin folder name, deleted the install file, permissions, followed everything.I re-installed several times and I am afraid it could be a bug in the program as the previous one has no problemworking locally with wamp. I recieve the error page HTTP Not FoundIs anyone else experiencing this? or does anyone know how I can resolve it?

softbeach
Uninstall Php, mySQL and Apache server or any other server you are using to run prestashop. Download and Install WAMAPserver (http://www.wampserver.com/en/)As I am running the same version on it and its working very fine.Hope it will solve your problem. inspire8
It seems this is not going to work for me for some reason, I've downloaded it again, re-installed it continuously, created new databases, deleted the install file, renamed admin and it still I get HTTP 404 Not Found The webpage cannot be found. The front office is working fine, but back office still isn't.It looks like I will have to go back to the older version, I can't understand why this won't work. Thanks for your support and please let me know if there is anything else I could try. gdinari
Not sure what the problem is but try to see if you can find any clues in the error log.To view the error log in the wamp server go to the "logs" folder in the server directory and open the "php_error." Go all the way to the bottom of the file and see what is the recent error message or the one related to your problem. Most likely its something minor. I installed the prestashop 1.3.2 with no problem.Hope it helpsgdinari
softbeach
Are you using SKYPE with Wamp server? If yes, just quit your Skype and start your all of your services once again from Wamp server. And once again check your localhost website for prestashop installation.because in Wamp, Apache webserver is using the same Port 80 as the Skype. So if Skype is running with Wamp server, it restrict Wamp server to start Apache webserver.I hope this time it will solve your problem.
