[SOLVED] 500 Internal error for modules/paypal/redirect.php

Installed paypal 1.71 now I am getting 500 internat error after confirmation of order and redirect to paypal. I followed the instructions:
In My account > Profile > Website Payment Preferences, set:
- Auto Return : Off,
- Payment Data Transfer to Off.

In My account > Profile > Shipping Calculations
- check Click here to allow transaction-based shipping values to override the profile shipping settings listed above

New to presta, 2 years with zen-cart, where i am trading with paypal standard with pdt token.
Presta does not have this?

I have changed them from 777 to 775. I still get the 500 error when i visit

Also I'm having a hard time configuring the flat shipping using 3 zones: UK, Europe and International. Where can I set up the flat cost for an individual carrier?
Is there a tutorial or faq or manual for configuring basic settings with Presta?

I checked the error log and turns out it was a permission problem with modules/paypal/redirect.php.
