[Solved] removing alt tag on flag

I am trying to remove the flag on the site.

I deleted all of them except the american/default lang.

I did a search on here and found that you can delete the flag by deleting the 1.jpg file.

That worked but it has a "alt" tag on it and shows the letters en now.

How do I remove the "en"?

Why not just uninstall the language module?

thanks I figured it out with your suggestion

"You need to uninstall the currency and language modules in your admin>modules tab."

I was going to the languages tab under tools and trying to delete it. So thats why I was having trouble
