How to modify one template File

Recommended Posts

Hello,

i have a more or less a bit genereal question. So i try to write an module, which needs an extra Form displayed on the Product page.  In order to get it there i need to modify the Product.tpl file.

I researched around the forum, internet and the docs what is the go-to Way to do it. What is the easiest way to do it, that the modification of the template is connected to the module (i.e. in the Modules folder) ?

There are Possibilities to modify the TPL file directly, but that is not what i want to do, just as the last resort. Then there is the Parent/Child Theme feature of prestashop, but that is not directly connected to the module, or is there a way?  Another Idea would be to include a TPL file, which extends product.tpl through a frontOfficeController. I tried it, but it did not work, or i did something wrong. What do i need to do it, that it works?

For Prestashop 1.7.3

Thank you all for help
