rocky Posted September 3, 2010 Share Posted September 3, 2010 The category images are 500px x 150px when displayed as a banner and 80px x 80px for the thumbnails by default. You can change that on the Preferences > Images tab. PrestaShop uses the same image for both the banner and thumbnail, which obviously means there will always be white space. To get around the problem, assign a square image as the category image, which will become the thumbnail, then go to Catalog > Image mapping to assign a banner image to each category.
