Recommended Posts

forcing customers to select an attribute before letting them add to cart is this possible we sell baby gifts and I want the customers to choose the blanket colour and thread colours before they can add to cart

as you can see ive got it setup so they can choose the colours but I want it to be a required field as ive just sold my first item which im very pleased about but them didnt choose a blanket colour lol

thanks rocky, but it didnt seem to work,

also ive now noticed more importantly, when I customer selects a colour fleece it doesnt tell me what colour theyve selected it just lists all 3!

if you try adding this blanket to the cart

http://josbabygifts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=14

select a colour blanket and add it but it will still display all 3 colours in the cart is there any reason for this?

That happens when you don't add your attributes the right way. If you simply went to the "3. Combinations" tab, selected all the attributes, then clicked "Add", then you created a single combination with all the attributes instead of a separate combination for each attribute. You should click one at a time and then click "Add", or use the "Product combinations generator" to do the hard work for you.
