Product categories missing in Horizontal top menu -module after 1.5 - 1.6 update

Hi

I have a problem where product categories are not shown and not selectable from the Horizontal top menu in back end. See attached image categories-missing.jpg. I am using multistore with 10 stores. Shops group is id=2

Problem started after migration from 1.5.x -> 1.6 series. Currently I am using "latest" 1.6.1.18

I am unable to fix the issue with these instruction so I am hoping that someone could point what to edit in my DB.

I have included screenshots from following tables: ps_category, ps_category_group and ps_category_shop

Previous version of 1.6.1.8 showed that the HOME -root category I am using is id=2, but root category ID is apparently not visible anymore from the back end on 1.6.1.18.

Could anyone help here?

maybe you are using a custom top-menu module,you need check the code ,some module can't support multi store well
