Help!, get "500 - Internal server error"

when i'm in the backoffice, when i click modules tab i get this error-

500 - Internal server error.
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

i will be glad if someone help me fixing it....

Yes, I get this too. Refreshing the page usually fixes it -- sometimes more than once. Or possibly leaving it for 10 seconds.

I don't know the cause. But there are error messages in the cgierror.log about incorrect syntax.

I posted about it here, but have not had anyone reply.

In many ways, it is good that I am not the only one with this problem!

Just a suggestion -- > In your File Manager try to change the permission of Modules folder to 755, all folders in it should be 755 while all files should be 655, Sorry I'm also a beginner and the problem might be the hosting but on this CHMOD setting my constant 500 internal server error fixed. If you already done this and still getting this error just ignore this post.
