[SOLVED]Change subject drop down into subject field in contact form

I tried to search but did not find what i was looking for.

I want to change the subject dropdown menu in the contact form to a field that the customer can fill in a subject they want.

How would I do that?

I think you've misunderstood the meaning of the "Subject" field. Its purpose is to send the message to a different email address based on what is selected, not to add the selected text to the "Subject" of the email.

I think you'd need to change "Subject" to "Department" and then create a separate text field called "Subject", then pass that into classes/Mail.php to send the email with it as the subject. It isn't an easy thing to do, but it should be possible.
