1 item in stock - but actually none?!

Testing store before it goes live so I've created a dummy product with a price of €0 and one combination associated with it - quantity of 1. I then went in and bought this item from the store and went back to review the products details.

The quantity label and field has been hidden and I'm getting the right availability message - " Availability: This product is no longer in stock". BUT I'm still getting the "1 item in stock" stock level indication!? Is this correct?

Also I've installed the MailAlerts module but nothing is showing for the customer to now be able to enter their email as this item should be out of stock.

Would really appreciate any help on this :-/

Something's definitely gone wrong. The quantity should be 0, not 1. The updateQuantity function in classes/Product.php should have done that when the product was bought. I'm not sure why it isn't working on your site.
