picture size

Recommended Posts

I have used prestashop for 6 months
I'm quite happy with what I get, except one problem: picture size
And I cannot get what is wrong
If you click first product on this category http://www.hobipunkt.ee/pood/80-kodune-kosmeetika?p=2
youll see that on product page picture is smaller that on category page. Why?
My settings are:
-- --
1 small 45 px 45 px

2 medium 80 px 80 px

3 large 600 px 600 px

4 thickbox 600 px 600 px

5 category 500 px 150 px

6 home 129 px 129 px

7 large_scene 556 px 500 px

8 thumb_scene 161 px 58 px

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Helen

The dimensions of the image used on category page [1] is 129x129 px so it is displayed as it is. The dimension of the image used in product page [2] is 600x600 px so the browser resizes it to fit into the box.

Also you have massive white area around your images. For example "Rafineerimata sheavõi 100 g" product image is 600x600 px but the actual image of the item occupies 122x80 px in the center of that area and is surrounded by a white frame of 240-260 px width from all sides.

Is there a wrong way to add pictures?

Ways mind can come up with, no doubt :)

You gave the size settings in your original post. Please post

1 - what each size is set to apply. e.g. small: products, categories...; medium: products...etc
2 - dimensions of the original image before upload
3 - dimensions of original image on the server after upload
4 - dimensions of the thumbnails created from the uploaded image by PS
5 - whether all thumbnails have large white frame around them.
