I would like to make a mailing to my presta customers. How to do this? via prestashop or some module, or by using some external programs?

Install the newsletter module, it has this capability.

Your customers must be opted in for the newsletter to get the email list, however.
If you have access to your database, you can get the customer email addresses using this SQL:

SELECT email FROM `ps_customer`

The Newsletter module that comes with PS does not have to capabilities to send a newsletter/email to you customers. It merely allows you to export the email address to do mass mailings using a third party email program (ie outlook, thunderbird, etc.)... So basically, by default you cannot send emails to from the BO.

However, here is a free module that seems to fix this problem. You should check it out... might be what you're looking for, plus its free.

I have it installed on our shop, but honestly, I haven't had the chance to use it so I can't give any feedback on it. However, it seems to have worked for a lot of people.

so I think one good solution is to use third party mailing program?

do you know some program for maling?
