How to change the front picture

Recommended Posts

Hello, I'm a newbie in Prestashop. I want to change the front photo (see picture attached) for another one. The photo that I want to change (and also the link) is the 5 Ipod one.
Surely this question (so easy, I suppose) has already been answered, but I have not found in the forum. So I thank you in advance if you solve me this problem.

...

I worked it out my self,

However when I tried to Cut and paste the way to do it ... it had links to my Admin folder ! ! !

But for those as dumb as me, this is how to change the picture of the 5 iPods:

Go to Back Office Modules

When you see the list like this:

+ SEO 1 module

+ Pricing & Promotion 1 module

+ Shipping & Logistics 1 module

+ Search & Filter 2 modules

+ Payments & Gateways 5 modules

+ Administration 13 modules

+ Front Office Features

Choose Front Office Features

Inside Front Office Features, there are lots and lots of ' BLOCKS '

Search trough all the Blocks looking for one called ' Home text editor '

It will look like this :

Home text editor v1.6 by PrestaShop

A text editor module for your homepage.

Delete Disable Reset Configure

Click on Configure ... Good luck.

Peter

Addendum:

MAX size is

307.2kB ( ie Small )

[ I want to do this too ] ... so ...

BO is Back Office >>> got that bit.

modules >>> Yes I am in modules

Now I have 4 selections :

Which one should I choose for Home Text Editor v1.5 ?

( I am on PrestaShop™ 1.4.7.0 , if that makes a difference )

Don't click on any of the sub-tabs that you have listed (e.g. My Account, Themes, etc.). On the homepage of the Modules tab you'll see listed about a dozen sections in the middle of the page: Search & Filter, Smart Shopping, Marketplace, SEO, etc. The bottom section is labeled Front Office Features; click on it and you'll see listed about thirty modules. Scroll down the page, find the module Home text editor and click on the Configure button for that module. On the page that opens you can edit the introductory text, delete the current homepage logo, etc. To change the logo click on the Browse button and locate the image on your local computer.

First, thank you for asking this question, I just found the answer myself after a month of figuring it out.

But now I have a problem, non of my images are showing up, either a stretched picture of the original ipods pic come up or a smaller pic of the ipods comes up. All of my images are under 20Kb... what do I need to do to solve this problem? THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP
