One Solution for Admin/Backend Error 500 after installation

Recommended Posts

Hey there, since many of you have the same Error after the installation where you can't access the backend, here is one solution, that i already found out a while ago using another shop system:

-- download and open the .htaccess file of the adminfolder with a simple text-editor and deactivate "Options" by setting a "#" at the beginning of the line "Options -MultiViews" (quite at the top)

-- save it, upload it again (replace) and it should immediately send you to the Loginpage once u refresh ur page ;)

This error is caused by providers who don't support "Options" in .htaccess - I myself am not a Professional, but it's just how it is I guess^^

Cheers

Sebastian
