mitzayapa Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Hey guys , is there any way to generate a $manufacturer.jpg file when adding a new manufacturer or updating a manufacturer that is allready created ? For ej : i add a "corsair" manufacturer aside the default generated images : *large_default" "medium_default" and "small_default" , i need a corsair.jpg file in the same directory Any way to make that ? ps 1.6.0.8 Best regards mitzayapa
Scully Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 You had to override the manufacturer controller to achieve that. But why? All manufacturers get images with their ids. Why have a duplicate?
mitzayapa Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 (edited) Its for seo purposes. The default image name is irrelevant , "hp.jpg" for example with a good "alt" would sum some points. Any easy way to achive that ? Edited August 16, 2017 by mitzayapa (see edit history)
Scully Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 You had to change the manufacturer admin controller as well as the manufacturer front end controller to change according to your wishes. Without having done it before I'd guess some 2-3 hours to change it when you have experience with PHP and prestashop controllers. However I don't know any way with default behaviour and without changing the relevant parts in the code.
