Moon theme - menu behind slideshow

Hi, i am setting up this store but have come across a littel problem,

the navigation bar when you put the mouse over home it shows behind the slide show, so how do I set it to show in front of the slide show, on the home page.

The other thing if I turn the search box of that appears next to the navigation bar it messes up the site, goes all over the place.

Third and final if I make the logo a little shorter will the links move over to the right more?
