Editing global.css but no changes appear .

Recommended Posts

Hello !

I am trying to make some simply changes in global.css file .

Change some colors .

I do it as always but no changes .

I tried to clean cache by deleting everything in two folders .

I tried from back office too .

Tried to add important in the end of line .

What else can I do ?

Version 1.5.4.0

Thanks .

If the site's live you could provide a link to the page in question, explain what line, or lines in global.css you're changing and how it relates to elements on the page you're trying to change and what your intended outcome is.

That way, we can have a look at your site to see if we can spot something.

I typed green in global css but no changes to background.

After I edited some color in product.css and now both changes are displayed online .

After I tried to change green background to gray or some other color - again no changes displayed online .

It is silly but it seems that some time website reacts to my css changes only if I change lines in one css file and after in other css file . I tried this method several times again but no changes . Yesterday I tried hundred times it [editing global.css and after product.css] and few times it helped .

Last week helped that I siply logged out from back office and logged in back .

I am using iexplorer, edge, chrome, firefox. All display green !

Then I tried access website with my phones[Android Browser and Microsoft Lumia Browser] ! It was still green !

Then I turned off wi-fi on my phone and turned on mobile data - and it is now gray as it should bee . :)

Turned again smartphone wi-fi on - it is green again . :)

I thought it is problem with my router.

Tried to connect laptop through LAN ,but nothing , it is still green .

That means something with my internet service provider ? Is it possible ?

Any ideas what is caching css files ?

Cloudflare.

I've just noticed that you're serving your site via Cloudflare (a good thing to do when the site's production ready).

To get any development work done you should go into cloudflare's caching settings, purge everything and switch developer mode on.
