What is the simplest way to automate the retrieval of data from Prestashop database?

Hi there!

 

I would like to create a module or add some code to my Prestashop e-commerce platform in order to obtain certain data from its database. Now, I am familiar with the DBQuery class and I can understand the code a little bit. 

 

I would like to create some module or add some code that would automatically execute my defined SQL query and then it would export the result in CSV/XLS(Excel) format.

The Advanced Parameters > SQL Manager tab lets you create a query and export the results as a CSV file. I suggest looking into how it works and see if you can hook into it or copy some of its code.
