Prestashop server installation is a big problem

Hi I own a website and was trying to install prestashop. I find that it is a big pain to install prestashop. When I did a review on prestashop and magento I found that they all say its easy and quick installation. But from my experience this is a great pain installing prestashop. I tried to search the google and found that many people are facing the same issue. I wonder the development team is working to improve this.

 

At first when I was installing I got stuck at thr 3rd step getting two error, one is external value and second is something need to put off. Then I tried to fix this issue, by following a prestashop forum. Still it didnt worked and I decided to continue it anyway. Again I got stuck at the 5th step. While entering the db name and user/password I am getting a 404 error page.

 

Anybody know how can I overcome these two issue - 3rd step and 5th step.

Hi what PrestaShop version are  you working with.  At time of this writing the 'legends' recommend using latest 1.6 download.
