New Presta user - some problems.

I have just started a store with Presta Shop - not too many problems but I have a couple of things I can't seem to beat.

Attributes. I don't have many products that require attributes but the first one I have set up has not worked. I added the group first, and then the options - then on the product page>combinations tab I added the 6 options that the product comes in and clicked 'add this combination' - all that worked fine and the drop down duly appeared on the product shop page - I then test added the product to the cart and it added the product - complete with all six attributes!

I checked the Wiki for attributes but the info there did not correspond with the cart version I have (1.3.0.10)

I have also added the products category module that shows products from the same category on the product page but it is appearing above the info/description of the product - can it be shown below it?

s there a help section anywhere for the back office?

You need to click on the Product Combinations Generator on the "3. Combinations" tab to properly created the combinations. By selecting each attribute on the "3. Combinations" tab and clicking add, you simply created one combination with all the attributes.

Yea when you manually add attributes (not using the product combination generator as rocky mentioned above) you can't add all six options to one attribute. You add one option from each of your attribute groups and add that combination. Then repeat for each of the 6 attributes you have. If you have two drop down menus (or groups) you will add 1 attribute from the first group and add 1 attribute from the second group, then add the combination. Then rinse and repeat. The product combination generator is really handy if you have 2-3 different groups you are trying to make combinations from.

For the Products Category module, in your themes/prestashop/product.tpl file move the following line (ithink around line 326):

{$HOOK_PRODUCT_FOOTER}

TO

the line above this comment:

My product.tpl file is quite heavily modified so I'm not sure if these line number references will match yours... but just search for the above code line and move it to right above the customization products line.

For help with the BO or PS, have you read the wiki? Or are you talking about help with something else?
