add image to product not working

Hi all, I am just using prestashop for the first time and may be doing something stupid....

When I go to catalog and add an image to a newly created product, after clicking save the content area goes blank (rather than returning me to the same or catalog page).

When I navigate to the product the first few times an iPod image was added and then no image - despite the image I uploaded being of jewellery??

Can anyone help!!

I am developing locally on XMAPP on my dev machine so it could be to do with that, but as admin there should not be any permission issues.

My experience is that if the page goes blank the image is too big

thanks for replying.

After lots of testing it did indeed turn out to be image sizes, but the bug is that the image uploaded has to be the same size as the largest image defined in Preferences/Images then all works, for me this is 800x800. Any larger, even 820x820 (and 100k) in one case and it failed.

Has anyone else experienced this same issue, could it be a 1.3.1 bug worth logging?
