Prestashop migration add to cart button stops working

I migrated my Prestashop v1.6.0.8 to a new server. The OS, php versions, on the new server are identical to the ones on the old server. The only thing changed is the IP address. The site shows up fine but the "Add to Cart" buttons don't work. Nothing happens at all.

Obviously on preview mode, I don't want the live site to go offline.

It looks like a problem in the code. No visible signs of failure in the browser.

I can't get into the Back Office either. The password is correct, just nothing happens and log in goes back to [email protected]

I put debugging to true in defines.inc but that doesn't work and no error showing in the logs

For the problem of the "add to cart" button that doesn't work.

The solution for me was to desactivate SSL. It works now.
