<SOLVED> Two issues I have. Footer and database. Please help (FIGURED THE FOOTER)

Hello Everyone,
I am new to PrestaShop and smarty. I test my site on Localhost/. I have two main issues.

The first is I want to get rid of the "Specials New products Top sellers Contact us Powered by PrestaShop™" in the footer and have there my own table with pictures and links. I am using the template that came with the original installation. Could you please tell me step-by-step how to change it? It seems that using the 'include' option won't work?

The second issue I am having is that I want to mass upload my products. But I do not know how to do it fast. I wanted to use MS Excel (CSV?) to build a sheet\table and then import it to PrestaShop. Could you please tell me step-by-step how and what to include in the sheet? can I export and then see an example? How? Can you upload an example sheet, or print screen?

Well I figured the footer.
In ../themes/prestashop/footer.tpl:::

inside the footer div tag I have inserted the table with links and pictures.

then in the global.css i added the new corresponding css code.

finally, i have deleted

{l s='Contact us' mod='blockvariouslinks'}

from ../modules/blockvariouslinks/blockvariouslinks.tpl

and only

was left there.

Have I done it right?

Would have been quicker to uninstall the footerlinks module.
