1.6 Paying by credit card doesn't show on mobile

Hi Guys

 

I really hope someone can help, I don't know when, but this happened, but a customer has just told me about a problem they are having with our checkout.  They are saying that when using a mobile device (phone or tablet), the pay by card isn't showing.  They are only seeing paypal checkout or pay by wire.

 

I have just tested this and it is true, the pay by credit card is only available on desktop checkouts.

 

Prestashop version 1.6.0.9

Paypal module, standard version 3.11.1

I looked through the paypal module code and I do not find "pay with my debit or credit card" text, I also do not find "Card Type" with a select box.

 

Perhaps you describe what changes you made to the module, or perhaps exactly what settings you are using?

I've not made any changes recently at all.

 

It was just brought to my attention by a customer yesterday.

Today I have tried completely removing the module using FTP.  Downloading a fresh copy and installing it.

 

The same result, there is no option to pay via card on mobile and tablet devices, only desktop.

 

Not sure what to do next, maybe there's a bug in the module???

I have the developer looking into it at the moment.  It's taken nearly three weeks for them to start though.

The developer has given me the following instructions, but it didn't work for me.

 

For your clients to be able to pay on mobile here are the steps to follow:

 

- go to your PayPal module configuration page and in the section "1 - Select your solution" select "Choose Website Payments Standard"

 

- then in the section "3 - Process payments on your online shop" enter the API credentials you will find on your PayPal account

 

- save the settings

 

- change back the setting in section "1 - Select your solution" to "Choose Website Payments Pro" and save again

I did not know that Prestashop has option to pay by credit card.

 

Can you tell me which module are you using, or maybe some link to download it.

It's the official paypal module, normally supplied as part of prestashop.
