upgraded to 1.7 and lost everything, take backup

Can someone pls guild me how to take good backup

 

As this not the first time it happened to me.

 

How to take good back up please so i will have files in save place incase it happens again.

Why  you upgraded live store to version that just come up ?

 

And how did you manage to upgrade because lot of people trying to do that, on test store though ?

 

What is your server, you use cPanel maybe ? here is one guide

Also check your admin/backup folder usually when you try to upgrade it creates backup there.
