Very, really very slow updating products...

Hi,

I have a nice webshop (giantjeans.com) that I like to update the product attributes.

In this case add EAN code to each product combination.

 

I have about 250 combinations....

 

If I add one EAN code, it goes ok. 

If I try to add the other one, it does not reflect in the back office. I can not see the changes I made.

 

I have turned off SMARTY cache, turned on force compilation, and turned of normal cache.
A search on Google gave me this as best solution.

I also manually deleted the files in root-cache\smarty\cache and smarty\compile.

 

No it kind of works.

If I add one, that goes OK.

If I add an other I have no success, unless I first manually, at advanced parameters, click on "clear cache" (top right)

 

If I then add another one, it is visible in the product combination.

 

As I have 250 code's to add, this is on this way a daunting task.

 

Is there a way to make this process go faster?

I have to add a lot of product details, and making after every change all these steps...

That is a big problem.

 

How much memory does the server need?
I have a VPS. Without editing, all is working just fine and fast.

Only during eddit, it is almost impossible to do!

I've disabled all non prestashop author plugins and now is working fine

Another option is Emagic one Store manager. Really like this program for almost (not everything) all BO operations. Prestashop BO can be hideously slow.
