(HELP) Categories are very slow to be deleted!

Hello everyone,

 

I had a issue with prestashop lately. my website now has more than 1000 categories in total (navigating between categories are really fine), And Also when I update a category or sub-category it take just few seconds, but when I add or delete one or more sub-categories it takes me more than 10 minutes, and sometimes more than that.

 

And sometimes I get "504 Gateway Time-out".

 

I have a dedicated server with more than 8GO of ram and also Plesk installed on it. So I don't think the is from the server side unless if there's any tweaks to do it to speed up deletion process.

 

I tested with Cache off and also On and the same results.

 

Server : Ubuntu 14.04 with plesk installation.

 

PS : Only my website is installed right now, NO other website hosted on this server.

I would guess it's the recalculation of the category level depths and n tree that's taking so long, since there are so many categories to be recalculated.
