airbag
Hi there. I wanted to ask if anyone can help with the following questions.1) Will a re-import just update product info if the product name and ID are the same, or will it delete or recreate products in the catalogue?2) Is there an easy way to generate a CSV file of the fields that you need to re-import. For example I have a PS Database already full of products, whats the easiest way to create a new import file that I can adjust for bulk product update? Thanks for any info. rocky
1) PrestaShop compares the product ID of each row in the CSV file. If a product with that ID already exists, it uses an UPDATE query to change the product data. If no product with that ID already exists, then it uses an INSERT query to create a new product.2) I suggest that you maintain a CSV file with every field listed under Tools > Import when you select "Products" as the entity to import (except the Feature field if you aren't importing features). That way, you don't have to worry about choosing columns when importing or about accidentally leaving out a required field.

Is there any way to set the same (comparing IDs), with this: if ID exist in database but don't exist in csv file, it removes that product. If ID already exist in database, it skips that product?
