Setting a product to pasive (not visible)

Hi,

 

Sorry this might be a newbie question. How do I set a product to be disabled / not visible. Of course I can set the quantity to 0, but I want it completely disabled. How is this achieved?

You can do this from the product editor on the "Information" tab.

 

If you want the product to be completely disabled, change "Enabled" to "No". If a customer tries to visit the product, it will say "404 Page Not Found", even if it's a product they ordered.

 

If you want the product to still be accessible, but no longer listed on the category and search pages, you can change "Visibility" to "Nowhere". That way, customers who have bought the product or bookmarked it can still see it, though it will still be accessible through search engines too.
