How to modify product listing?

Hi all,

 

I am using v 1.6.1.4 with original bootstrap theme.

 

I want to list products a bit differently.

 

What I want to accomplish is that;

• After clicking the main category in the menu, I want to display the manufacturers with logo which have products associated to that category.
• Then upon clicking the manufacturer, I want to display the series of the products which is under that manufacturer
• Lastly after listing series I want to display products

i.e : Main Category -> Manufacturer -> Series -> Products

 

Baesd on above information, how can I make necessary changes and in which file?

if you will enable block layered navigation module you can achieve something very similar to your request.

with this module you can display:

- list of manufacturers
- filter products from category by manufacturers

I have such a live edit view in the following;

 

 

As I told above Main Category in this case" Glass" so in order to achieve Manufacturer -> Series -> Products, where should I place block layered navigation cause I could not see any editable section for this area?
