If 2 shipping methods choose the most expensive

Hello, 

 

Lets see if someone can help me on this:

 

I have a kind of products that due to their small size i ship them with Carrier X (3€)

Rest of products are shipped with Carrier Y (6€)

 

But if someone order both kind of products i want to ship it with Carrier Y (6€)

 

All small products weight are set to 1kg, rest of products have no weight (0kg).

 

I've tried shipping ranges, asigning a carrier to the product, but can't make it work the way i need, cause if i assign a carrier to a product, if i mix to different products the sihhping costs value is 3€ + 6€.

 

Hope some can help me... i was thinking about editing the getCartWeight but not sure how to implement it.

Why not turn that around? All large products 1 kilo and all small products 0? That way you know for sure that if the total weight it zero you can use carrier X and otherwise you need carrier Y.

Yeeey maybe that's the best and fastest option to solve it.
