How to create a normal top menu?

I want to create a menu where I can create my own links.

 

The thing is, my store doesn't have subcategories and I can't create them for some reason. It only has categories.

 

So I want to create some links and put drop down menus with categories to those links.

 

But prestashop doesn't allow it from modules > top menu. Can only assign drop down menu with links to categories > subcategories.

 

So, is there a way to do custom links and assign them categories?

Prestashop allows to add custom links, but not as categories with dropdown. So you would need some other menu module, there are lots of them out there, many with very advenced menu builders (one example)

Anything free exists? I've checked prestashop market and every module requires a payment.

Probably not, megamenu in general is paid, but 17$ for a module is not that much.
